Macbeth, by William Shakespeare is one of the most popular pieces of literature Shakespeare has ever written. His images and themes correspond to create a story of both suspense and excitement. Macbeth, the leading character of the novel, goes through a complete transformation from good to evil. His ambition and desire for power causes himself to become inhumane, which is portrayed through many images in the play. Shakespeare uses blood, violence, darkness, and the supernatural to represent Macbeth’s new disrupted heart caused by his crave for advancing in the chain of being.
