From Hills to High Rises

As people grow up, they become accustomed to their every day run of life. That is until moving day comes. Moving from a small country hamlet like Neerlandia to the big city of Edmonton may cause people to notice differences like the scenery, and the availability, or lack there of, of bare essentials. When moving from the county to a city the changes are drastic.

There are many people who live in the country and take its vast beauty for granted. No matter where a person goes in Canada, there are beautiful country sides to gaze upon: the rolling hills, the beautiful crops and the trees that are constantly progressing from buds in spring to an array of colors in fall. The small hamlet of Neerlandia consists of less than 30 houses, but the community spans across an area roughly equivalent to the size of Edmonton. There are no barriers and only fields and forests as far as you can see. These fields from seeding time in the spring to harvest in the fall give weekly changes in scenery. Wild deer run rampant across the area along with other animals such as moose, lynx, coyotes, and wolves. These animals, along with many different types of birds, add an extra little touch to the country side scene. The country is bursting at the seams with space and colors making it an awesome place to relax and just take it all in.
